Waking in spring

A kimo couple (my very first) for the Scavenger Hunt. They can be read separately if each kimo is expected to stand alone.

Waking in spring

this day will rise with golden glory strung
from every green-leafing bough
a necklaced wonderment

river of diamonds cold and sharp as dew
wash clean spring trees of night’s dark
fruiting Betelgeuse-red

Author: Jane Dougherty

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Beautiful imagery, Jane, and wonderful word choices. I especially like “a necklaced wonderment.”

My Rhopalic verse is posted. :)
